FLEETWOOD BEACH WHEELCHAIRS
This registered charity provides an invaluable service entirely thanks to their friendly band of volunteers.
If you can spare a few hours a month you'll make a huge difference to somebody, adding to their experience as they make lasting memories. New volunteers are always welcome.
FLEETWOOD PROMENADE PARKRUN
Volunteering for the parkrun is about an hour and a half on Saturday mornings from 8.30am, it could be just once a month or whenever you can help and it's a great way to start your weekend!
Roles include marshaling out on the course to make sure everyone is safe, as part of the start/finish team, and admin and promotion behind the scenes. Everyone supports and encourages those taking part from the first person home to the last, running, walking, volunteering ... there's the same sense of achievement.
COMMUNITY CAR DRIVERS
Preston Community Transport operate across the whole of Lancashire including Fleetwood and Wyre.
They are a volunteer car scheme offering transport to medical appointments and community groups for those who may otherwise struggle to attend and become isolated.
New drivers are always needed and very welcome.
