FLEETWOOD TOWN COMMUNITY TRUST

 

The Trust does a lot more than delivering football coaching! They offer a diverse range of activities for men, women and children of all ages to participate and enjoy themselves in a fun, friendly environment.

 

They also support a number of initiatives aimed at making a positive impact on an individual's lifestyle, health and wellbeing such as weight loss and combatting isolation.

Take advantage of the regular 'special offers' to join YMCA Fylde Coast and enjoy access to all the local centres and facilities including Fleetwood.

FLEETWOOD PROMENADE PARKRUN

A weekly 5k, timed run you can take part in for fun, to improve your fitness or as part of your training for longer events. 

 

It's 9am every Saturday morning (rain or shine) along the Promenade from Marine Hall, out past Rossall Observation Tower and back again. On a flat surface, good for running, walking, wheelchairs, buggies and dog-walkers! Register once with parkrun UK and take part in any event across the Country.

ADULTS SWIMMING

Wyre Flounders is a group for adults who appreciate a quiet and calm environment, perhaps while they use swimming to recover from an illness or build-up self-confidence.

 

They meet on Saturdays at YMCA Fleetwood from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. There is a small charge to attend, covering the cost of pool hire and an attendant. If you are interested, please telephone 01253 522232 for a chat and to reserve a place.

BOXING

Fleetwood Gym Boxing promote the benefits of boxing and boxing activities by providing first- class training facilities and expert coaches in a safe and inclusive environment. Box for health and wellbeing or for competition. 

Now based in their new excellent premises on Poulton Road, new members are always welcome ... men & women, boys & girls.

Fleetwood Flyers walking football 2021

MEN'S WALKING FOOTBALL

Whether you're looking for some exercise and banter with the lads or play competitively, walking football is great for physical and mental health.

Fleetwood Town Flyers host 3 sessions a week at the Poolfoot Complex, Thornton. You must be a member to play and pre-book each week but whatever your ability and reasons for playing, there's something for you.

 

They also enter teams in leagues and tournaments for ages from 50 - 70+ for players who want to

WOMEN'S WALKING FOOTBALL

The walking football with Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies FC is a great way to try something new or to get back into the game.

 

Played at Poolfoot Complex, Thornton on a Thursday evening the activity supports your physical and mental health, and is a chance to make friends with a brilliant group of women.

Sessions are supported by Fleetwood Town Community Trust and Fleetwood Town Flyers.

WOMEN'S WALKING FOOTBALL

Whether you’re looking to stay active, meet new friends, or rediscover your love for the game, this is a fun and friendly session for women.

Hosted by Fleetwood Gym FC coaches, played at Fleetwood High School on Tuesday evenings, 7pm - 8pm ... FREE to attend. For ages 18 and over, all levels of ability welcome.

Grab your trainers, bring your energy, and we’ll see you on the pitch!

JUNIOR FOOTBALL / SUNDAY LEAGUE

Football sessions for boys and girls from ages 5 upwards and progressing to adults, under the supervision of FA Level 2 qualified coaches.

 

Pay per session or with a pass to join multiple sessions.

Play for fun while you learn new skills.

Sessions are held evenings or Saturday mornings at St Georges Field and Fleetwood High School.

CRICKET

Fleetwood Cricket Club is a friendly, sociable and inclusive Club based in the Broadwater area of Fleetwood.

The Mens First XI play, and are current champions of the prestigious Northern League ... there's also teams and coaching sessions for ladies and juniors (boys and girls).

RUGBY UNION

Established over 80 years ago, Fleetwood Rugby Club offers extensive facilities for male and female members including a weights room, physio-treatment room and all-weather pitch for training and coaching. The Juniors section is for boys and girls in age groups ranging from Under 7/8's to Under 17's.

Wyre Warriors ARLFC is a grassroots club - by the community, for the community. Our General aim is to get our communities of all the Wyre areas together in one club supporting and helping each other out.


We want to help people meet new friends and try to get fit and healthy. Teams  will be available for men, women and juniors.

Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
