SUGGESTIONS FOR THE WEEK
Here's some suggestions of things you might want to do in the week ahead, bringing people together and supporting health and wellbeing. (The links will take you to Facebook pages for the groups or events)
Monday 14th March … It’s the monthly ‘Folk in the Afternoon’ event upstairs at the Strawberry Gardens Pub and Bistro Fleetwood, Poulton Road from 1pm to 4pm. Go along to sing, play, recite or just listen and enjoy!
Tuesday 15th … There’s a weekly breast-feeding support group from 10am to 12noon at Fleetwood Library. Ask the team at the venue for more information on this and the many other activities they offer.
Wednesday 16th … Call in to the coffee morning with our Friends from Emmanuel Church at the Mount from 10.30am - 12 noon. A hot drink and a warm welcome awaits all members of the local community.
Thursday 17th … Wish you had green fingers? How about the Gardening Workshop at The Mount Pavilion 'What seeds need to grow'. Craft compostable pots using items from the home and get hands-on with some seed sowing! Call 01995 602125 to book your place.
Friday 18th … Fleetwood Town Community Trust and Fylde Coast Veterans support an inclusive football session at Fleetwood RUFC, 7pm to 8pm. Email rick.clement@fleetwoodtownfc.com or call 07949 523089 to get involved.
Saturday 19th … You have a choice or events - a Spring Fair at Fleetwood Methodist Church, Fleetwood Road from 11am to 3pm and a table top sale at Fleetwood Spiritualist Church on Oak Street from 10am to 4pm - both venues are close to the No. 14 bus route.
Sunday 20th … Join the Wyre Council Coastal Rangers at Rossall Observation Tower between 11.30am and 12.30pm to observe migratory and over-wintering birds. It’s FREE and there’s no need to book - just wing it!
