SEVEN WAYS IN SEVEN DAYS

Suggestions to make friends and try something new during the week ahead.

Monday 24th April … There are several Walk & Talk groups in and around Fleetwood, one of the most popular is held on a Monday morning. Starting from Marine Hall at 10.30am walkers (and talkers) will stroll along the Promenade towards Rossall Tower and back, usually for a welcome brew in one of the local cafes. Led by Fleetwood Town Community Trust, the group was originally started as wellbeing support for Armed Forces Veterans but is open to all. No need to book, just turn up and look out for some exciting news about the group soon!

Tuesday 25th … Among the many activities held at Larkholme community centre is the chair-based exercise session on Tuesday evenings, 4.30pm to 5.30pm. Join qualified instructor Nikki for a class to boost your wellbeing and improve toning, strength and flexibility … it’s a chance to exercise and socialise. The session is £3.50pp, call 07926 043546 for more information and to get involved.

Wednesday 26th … One of the opportunities available for young people aged 16 – 24 is the Jobs Club at Fleetwood Youth Hub in the hospital building on North Albert Street. The next session is Wednesday, 2pm to 4pm. It’s a supportive environment to search and apply for jobs but there’s no pressure to attend for the full 2 hours. Pop in, have a look for current vacancies and have a chat with the helpful team.

Thursday 27th … The Friendly Lunch Club at Fleetwood Mens Shed, Manor Road is every Thursday at 12.30pm, doors open at 12. It's FREE, open to all adults (men and women, over 18 years), offers a hot meal and drink, and the good company of the volunteers and local residents.
