Saturday 25th June: Fleetwood Beachcare from 10.30am to 12 noon On the theme of environment, we are blessed with a beautiful coastline and each month volunteers help maintain the beaches and open spaces for everyone to enjoy. The Fleetwood Beachcare event is on Saturday, meeting at the Central Car park cafe (close to Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs). Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, equipment is provided.
Sunday 26th June: Armed Forces Walk from Blackpool to Fleetwood
As part of this year's events to mark Armed Forces Week, join a group of veterans, friends and family making their way from Central Pier. The party, led by the amazing Rick Clement, will set off from the Pier at 8.30am to arrive in Fleetwood approx. 12.30pm. Walk all or part of the route, camo/charity t-shirts if you can, donations to Healthier Heroes fund - all welcome!
Monday 27th June: Friends of Fleetwood Library 'Active Yoga' If you enjoy yoga then why not come and join in this FREE class on Monday evenings from 5.15pm to 6pm. The session is held in the first floor Community Room, please bring along your own mat and or towel. Fleetwood Library and their Friends group present a wide range of events every month - you can see the current event's listing here.
Tuesday 28th June: Harmony & Health at Affinity Lancashire
Hopefully taking advantage of continuing sunny and dry weather, this joyous singing group are holding their Fleetwood session outdoors next week.If you are free between 1.30pm and 3pm, pop along and sing-along for a guaranteed boost to your health and wellbeing! If you can't make it but would like to know more, telephone Shirley on 07940 030925 to get involved.
Wednesday 29th June: Dig Deeper - a gardening and allotment group Calico Connect host this free weekly session at Eden Gardens, opposite Westview Community Association, 11am - 1pm. Get involved in a fantastic project, transforming a neglected allotment into a wonderful space, producing fresh fruit and vegetables AND bringing people together to support their health. Thursday 30th June: Friendly Lunch Club at Fleetwood Men's Shed, Manor Road
All welcome, men and women for a good meal in good company. Doors at 12 noon, food served at 12.30pm. It is free or a donation can be made towards a Christmas meal for the community. Friday 1st July: Wyre Wheels adapted bicycles at Memorial Park This is a cycling programme offering participants the opportunity to ride adapted bicycles including trikes, side-by-sides, hand bikes, quad and wheelchair bikes. There's no need to book - just turn up at the Park Pavilion (by the Cenotaph). Sessions run from 10.30am to 1.00pm (with the last admission at 12.30pm) and the cost is £3.50pp.
