GOOD News: 11th August
Hello everyone, we hope you are enjoying the Summer so far with it's usual mixed bag of weather from baking sunshine to torrential rain.
Here's this week's round-up of some of the Good News we've heard about.
Men's Shed Fleetwood have resumed face-to-face meetings ahead of opening their refurbished premises.
For now the 'Shedders' will meet in the Pavillion at Memorial Park on Thursdays at 10am. Place are limited so it's best to contact the group first through Facebook or mensshedfleetwood@gmail.com
Performance For All is an organisation making fitness accessible to all members of the community.
Signed Sweat is a twice-weekly on-line fitness class shared on Facebook and supported by a BSL communicator. There is a cost but funded places are available for individuals who'd like to get involved.
Fleetwood Town Community Trust has a number of vacancies available.
These are opportunities to join a great team delivering a range of health and wellbeing activities to residents of all ages.
The Wellbeing Week at Affinity Lancashire continues ...
On Friday 13th the West Fleetwood Computer Clinic will be in the Information Centre passing on their advice and tips for keeping your devices running smoothly and can provide internet-compatible devices for people who need them.Harmony & Health will be singing in the outdoor space at Affinity on Friday between 11am and 2pm. as part of their Summer Tour! They have taken advantage of the good weather to hold outdoor sessions and keep in touch and will also be Fylde Coast Food & Drink Festival at Marine Hall on Sunday 15th, which runs from 10am to 4pm.
Sunday is the second Fleetwood Jumble Trail event with over 80 locations now included!
The idea is for local residents to hold a tabletop sale from their gardens and front doors and you meet people along the way as you pick up a bargain or two.

The FREE family fitness sessions with Adam, Craig & Sean continue throughout August on Sunday mornings, 10am, Marine Hall Gardens.
This week's session will be a little further along from the Hall itself to accommodate the outdoor stalls of the Food Festival.
Fleetwood Museum has craft activities for families to enjoy on the picnic tables behind the museum (weather permitting) until Friday 3rd September.
You can create a Dangly Monster, Caterpillar or Funky Fish! No need to book just ask at reception when you visit.

We will be holding an Open Meeting on Wednesday 1st September at Emmanuel at the Mount from 6.30pm - all welcome to attend and get involved!
Suicide Awareness Charity Walk - Friday 10th September, starting at 7pm from Marine Hall and following the Fleetwood Wellbeing Way along the Esplanade.
MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 24th September at the Wellbeing & Community Information Centre, Affinity Lancashire.
