GOOD NEWS - 23rd October
There's loads of terrific community events coming up in and around Fleetwood over the next week or so and it's an early start on Saturday 26th October ...
... with the volunteers from Fleetwood Wellbeing Way hosting a Sunrise Walk.
Meeting at the Lower Lighthouse from 7.30am you can take in the sunrise at around 8am before enjoying a stroll together along The Promenade.
Later on Saturday there's a Beach Clean with The Bay: A Blueprint For Recovery.
These monthly events help keep the beach and coastline tidy and safe for all visitors, and support the environment for the natural plants and wildlife. Meeting point is by Dave's Cafe on Central Beach for 10.30am, until around 12noon. It's FREE to get involved, accompanied children are welcome, please wear suitable clothes and footwear.
Fleetwood Town Community Trust are also supporting the beach clean and will be recording a short promotional film highlighting 'community green heroes' ... this will be shown to fans at Highbury Stadium before a Fleetwood Town FC game.
Mel, Johnny and the new committee at Fleetwood Conservative Club invite you to a great day of live music, stalls, prize tombola and more from 2pm until late. Pop along to support this much-loved local venue on Lowther Road if you can.
A couple of Halloween events to mention ...

This will take place upstairs in the Fleetwood Museum Education Room from 2pm to 3pm, is FREE to attend but donations are welcome. Museum talks are always popular and places are limited so don't leave it too late to reserve yours ... call in beforehand or see the Facebook event here.
And a reminder that suggestions are invited for new exhibitions, activities and events inside No. 8 Queen's Terrace, recently acquired and opened as an extension of the Museum's facilities. Please ask the staff and volunteers about how you can get involved.
