Advent Calendar ... Day 5

Something a little different for our Advent Calendar today ... The Inside Out Fleetwood exhibitions.

Getting involved with the arts can have a powerful and lasting effect on your health and wellbeing both having a go yourself and taking time to enjoy the work of others.

'Inside Out' has brought together amazing pieces from people living in Fleetwood and across the Fylde Coast whether they be experienced artists, rediscovering a forgotten talent or first-time creatives.

There's paintings, sculpture, photography, textiles, woodcrafts, pottery and more ... including probably the biggest collection of knitted seagulls you are likely to find anywhere!

In this case, you'll find them at the former Fleetwood Hospital building, its owners Fleetwood Trust generously providing the space to coordinators LeftCoast and the team who've done a brilliant job pulling everything together ... rightly earning a nomination for a Creative Lives People's Choice Award - see https://www.creative-lives.org/inside-out for more and to vote.

There's still a chance to catch the new collection Inside Out 2 ... it's open on Thursday 9th and Saturday 11th December, 10am to 3pm ... don't miss it!
