ADVENT CALENDAR: Day 4

For Day 4 of our Advent Calendar we highlight the role Fleetwood Rotary plays in the local community.

In fact today sees the start of Rotary's Santa's Sleigh run all across Fleetwood, as the big man tours the Town, saying hello and taking donations. The money raised will be used to buy presents and gifts for local children and families in need.

There's a Warm Up with Santa evening at Queens Pub on Monday 11th December and you can support Santa's Sleigh by donating online at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/fleetwoodrotarysanta2023

This is just one of the many ways Rotary supports the community including charity collections; volunteering with Fleetwood's fireworks display and other events; current President, Mick Gray was the founder and is the driving force behind Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs; Rotakids reaches out to schools, encouraging young people to play a part in their community ... and much more.

There's also a very healthy social side to Rotary. Guest speakers are invited to the monthly meetings plus there's regular events and activities such as quiz nights and bowling.

New members are always welcome. See the Facebook page or visit the website at https://www.rotary-ribi.org/clubs/homepage.php?ClubID=1156 to find out more about getting involved with this terrific group.

Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
