Advent Calendar ... Day 1

We’re delighted to launch our advent calendar with the Harmony & Health singers!

This wonderful group need little introduction and were one of the first community partners supported by Healthier Fleetwood. Ever since, they have been the perfect ambassadors for the benefits of trying something new, making new friends and having fun as a way of improving your health and wellbeing.

It’s impossible not to smile when you see the joy that being in each other’s company brings to the members as they singalong to classics and feel-good tunes.

Having built up to 4 sessions a week, in Fleetwood and across Wyre, H&H continued to ‘meet’ online during the lockdowns before taking advantage of outdoor locations in the Summer.

They have always found ways to keep the members of the group connected, making sure nobody was alone - last Christmas they organised goodie bags to be delivered to everyone in the group.

Now, although the situation is ever-changing, they are back singing together in person with two sessions on a Tuesday at Marine Hall.

The driving force behind Harmony & Health is Shirley who, along with volunteers like Ann, Kath and Tim and supported by Wyre Council, has done an amazing job.
