FRIENDLIER FLEETWOOD

 

This smashing social group meet several times a week for a cuppa and a chat, board games and banter.
* Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays
(1pm - 3pm) at Fleetwood Library on North Albert Street. These sessions are FREE.

* Fridays (1pm - 3pm) at the YMCA Lofthouse Building, London Street, there is a cost of £2pp to attend this session.

WYRE WEDNESDAYS

 

Drop into The Strawberry Gardens p.h. on Poulton Road, Fleetwood on a Wednesday lunchtime, to meet up with local residents.  The group do meet in a pub but you can have a coffee or a soft drink ... it's about the good company and the good conversations.

 

The group usually meet at 12.30pm but it's worth checking the Facebook page for updates and other events.

MAGIC MIKE'S

 

A men-only group meeting for conversation in the Community Room at Fleetwood Fire Station on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. It's a safe, non-judgmental space and the group has been running for some time led by a local resident and fire officer.

The group is in partnership with Fleetwood Mens Shed who also host peer-support sessions at their base on Manor Road. Information is available through Facebook or by calling 07864 065764.

A social group for ages 65 and over, meeting every Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon at Fleetwood Library, North Albert Street.

The group is led by and for local residents - games and activities, cuppas and conversation, days trips and more.

No need to book ...just call in say hello and start making friends.

The group does use the Mens Shed premises on Manor Road, Fleetwood but sessions are for women only.

TALKING MEN

A warm and friendly environment, free of judgement, for men who are experiencing any kind of challenge. The group is resident-led and can also signpost to additional help in the community.

They meet on Thursday evenings, 7pm to 9pm at Verona Hall, Fleetwood Road North, Thornton Cleveleys. It's free to attend and refreshments are available. Fleetwood Town Community Trust manage inquiries by new members - tel. 01253 208442 or contact via Facebook.

This is a social group for ladies over 60 meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 2pm to 4pm at Fleetwood Cricket Club, Broadwater - guest speakers, demonstrations and fun.​​

There's also a coffee morning and lunch, plus excursions and parties. An annual membership fee is payable.

The Raving will hold social events, health and fitness sessions and organise trips, always wearing a red or pink hat! Local resident Jules is the founder but it's your ideas that count!
