Where do we go now?

 

After a couple of months ‘on the road’ and the kind support of Fleetwood Library as a temporary home, we are delighted to say we now have a new base to share what’s happening in the community.

 

Working in partnership with Regenda Homes the ‘new’ Healthier Fleetwood Information Centre opened in February 2024 and is in a great location on the main thoroughfare, close to Fleetwood Market. Our opening hours follow the market and the early footfall and feedback from our visitors is very encouraging. We are sure the Information Centre will be a great asset to our work and to the community as a whole, bringing better health to the High Street.

In the Spring of 2024, it was 8 years since Mark and Karen called the first meeting. One of the things we have always said is it will take at least a generation to really make a difference to the health and wellbeing of local residents and the wider community, so we’re only halfway there. It’s been a fantastic journey so far, many more highs than lows but there is still a lot of work to be done and we look forward to seeing what’s next for our wonderful town … the motto of Fleetwood is ONWARD!
